Usually when copying, or moving files from Android phones to computers, we often use USB cables. However, to save time and not to use a USB cable, you can still transfer files from your Android phone to your computer and vice versa from your computer to your Android phone.
Before taking the steps to transfer files from computer to Android phone without using a cable, on your Android phone you must install some of the following applications:
– ES File Explorer: file manager on Android devices. The application is integrated with search functions, image viewing and most importantly, a LAN used to “move” files to a computer via Wifi.
Download ES File Explorer to your device and install it here.
– swiFTP: FTP server (FTP server) that allows users to transfer multiple files from a Windows, Linux or Mac computer via an FTP connection.
Download swiFTP to your device and install it here.
After installing swiFTP, the application icon will appear on the screen of your Android device.
Click on the application icon and you will be asked to enter your user account name (username) and password.
Now you can “turn” your phone into an FTP server (FTP server) by clicking the Start button and you can establish an FTP connection on your phone.
After running swiFTP, you will see an IP address. Your task is to note down the IP address and port number, which will be used to establish an FTP connection on your Android phone.
To make this process easier, you’d better create a shortcut to your Android phone on Windows Explorer. Open the Computer folder, then map your Android phone to Windows File Explorer.
Enter your Android phone’s IP address.
Enter the username (username) that you created on swiFTP then click Next to continue.
Set a suitable name for the connection in the Type a name for this network location box as shown below:
From now on every time you need to access your phone, just double click on the FTP shortcut icon, enter the FTP password and you can access all the files on your phone.
In the above section, Network Administrator has shown you how to receive and transfer files on your Android phone via FTP. In this section, the Network Administrator will guide you through transferring files directly to a shared folder on your computer using ES File Explorer.
First on the Android phone app screen, find and open the ES File Explorer app. ES File Explorer includes 3 tabs: a Local tab that shows all the files on your phone, a LAN tab that shows all the devices on the Local Network, and an FTP tab that shows the FTP servers on your network. Friend.
Click the Menu button to open the ES File Explorer Menu, then click the New button.
Scanning your network saves you time to find your computer’s IP address. Your phone will search for all access devices on the local network (Local Network) and display it at the LAN tab.
And you will see all the shared folders accessible on the local network.
Go back to the Local tab and copy the files you want to upload to your computer.
You can copy as many files as you want and ES File Explorer will group the files to the clipboard.
Go back to the LAN tab, click clipboard and you will see all the files you just copied.
Click the Menu button to open the ES File Explorer Context Menu.
Click Operation , then click Paste and ES File Explorer will upload all these files to the computer.
In addition to the above, you can also use DropBox to sync files over an Internet connection.
DropBox is a great application that users can use to share files on computers and other devices. To use DropBox most effectively, you can refer here.
Good luck!
